Norfolk Terrier – Rudolf – by Sally Andrews

My Norfolk Terrier, Rudolf, was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen at the age of 8 years. My veterinary surgeon removed the spleen but gave a prognosis of just 6 months. During that time I lost my mother due to cancer. One day, towards the end of the 6 months, I took Rudolf to my vet for a check-up and she excitedly produced an article in the Financial Times reporting on the work of a veterinary surgeon based in Harrow called John Carter. “Give him a try” she said. “I can’t do any more for Rudolf”

I made an appointment and we went to see John. He was disappointed that the spleen had been removed as this creates internal scar tissue but he agreed to treat Ru. We went every other day and Ru was given 3 doses of CV 247 on each visit. John recommended a diet based on organic meat and vegetables – he said that, in the wild, if an animal caught, say, a rabbit, it would eat the lot – stomach contents as well. Rudolf improved immensely – so much so that within months he even caught a mouse!

In all, John gave Rudolf an extra 2 precious years of life at a time when conventional veterinary treatment had given up on him. I shall always be enormously grateful to John and I only wish I had known about him when my mother was still alive as I am convinced he could have helped her too.
